What is your Crazy Cricket strategy?

This month's Budweiser King of Darts event is on Crazy Cricket.
The rules of the game are simple - it is just like a normal cricket game except open numbers randomly changes until it gets at least one hit by either player. The numbers are no longer limited to 15 and above. Any number can appear. This interesting game is more demanding as it requires both skill and strategy.

One of the strategy that I have seen some player use is to close the biggest numbers such as 19 or 20 and try to score as many points as you can, while you can. This gives you a bigger advantage as the opponent have to chase on points on smaller house, though this may apply if you are higher rated than your opponent.
